I’m AJ Harley, a London-based personal stylist, colour analyst and image consultant with 15 years of experience in public relations, branding and strategic communications. I help ambitious people use personal style more intentionally as a form of visual communication and branding tool.
I am an accredited stylist and colour analyst after training at the London College of Style, and am recognised as one of PRWeek UK’s 30 Under 30 in 2022.
My passion point is helping people who may be going through a state of transition in their lives. Whether you’re stepping into a bigger role or new job that requires you to be more visible or show greater authority, becoming a public figure yourself, managing loss or grief, navigating a transition, or simply ready for others to see you how you see yourself, I can help you.
Like you would have a personal trainer to transform your life through healthier choices and fitness, let’s have a chat about how I can help to transform your life through the power of personal style - whether it’s helping you build confidence, build trust, find your voice, or be seen.

My approach is strategic and holistic. I focus on you as a person first: providing a consultative service that enables your full image, lifestyle and personal brand to work in harmony with your personal style. Think of me as an image consultant and creative director first, with the technique and experience of a personal stylist, and a background in branding and public relations.
I focus one-on-one on your unique objectives and design a bespoke Style Blueprint and programme that suits you. I use my proprietary Style Dial framework and Signature Style Rhythm methodology to understand who you are (and how you want to feel), the moment you’re dressing for and the message you want to convey. From that, I help you build a flexible and sustainable signature style that feels recognisably yours for the long-term and works harder for you to meet your goals, no matter what room you’re in.
It is rooted in tried-and-true principles of strategic communications and PR. I have helped FTSE 100 companies and senior leaders shape their perception and brand, ultimately contributing to their bottom line.

This is already a great start! I would love to hear more from you. Let’s chat! We’ll have a complimentary 15-minute discovery call, talk about what a day in your life looks like and your goals, what might be changing and what sparked your curiosity for styling support. This initial call is absolutely complimentary - if I don’t think you need a particular service, I’ll tell you. Honesty and transparent communication are key values.
-
No worries. You don’t need to do everything at once. We can work at a pace that feels comfortable for you and where you are in life right now. You’ve already taken the first step to find out more.
My methodology is designed so you can start with The Foundations and build from there when the time is right. The Technique can be booked on its own, and The Debut is also offered as a standalone service (and alternatively as a virtual experience) if you would like express styling support for a specific event.
If you’re unsure, please get in touch and we can work out the most useful starting point for your budget and goals during your complimentary 15-minute discovery call.
-
No. Strategy comes before spend. We’ll agree your budget and priorities before any personal shopping, and there is never an expectation to buy everything recommended. However, having a shopping budget in mind would help us all in the long run!
-
Not at all! You don’t need to know designers, trends or even how to describe your style. That’s part of the process. My job is to help you make sense of what already feels like you, what isn’t working and where you want to go next.
-
Absolutely. I’ve spent years navigating my own gender identity and I want to make this experience as inclusive and welcoming as possible for you. As a proud queer business owner, I am happy to work with everyone.
My style recommendations are built around you, your goals, your lifestyle, your proportions, your preferences, the way you want to show up, and what you want to say and achieve with your style.

Personal style can be a powerful part of exploring, affirming or evolving how you see yourself. I know this firsthand as a trans non-binary person of colour, having to flex my own Style Dial as I moved through different rooms in my life. For me, sometimes style can feel like armour and other times it can be a comforting, gender-affirming blanket.
There’s no expectation to arrive with all the answers, and no pressure to fit a particular idea of gender expression. We work at your pace and build from what feels right for you. Either way, I’m always happy to chat and am proud of you and excited for your journey!

Being queer-owned is part of the fabric of my business. I’m currently exploring partnerships with charities, community organisations and other queer-owned businesses so that I can contribute in a genuinely meaningful way. Stay tuned!

Currently, I am offering a bespoke virtual personal shopping experience through The Debut. I also offer this as an in-person experience.
We can agree on the format that makes the most sense for what you need.

I am currently planning an upcoming podcast series about what style reveals, conceals and communicates about the person underneath. Expect conversations about image, identity, reinvention, visibility and the stories we tell through what we wear. Coming soon! Subscribe below for updates.
